A Co, TF 2-227 AVN "Vulture Aviation" — STS, OEF 11-12 (Full Color)

SKU: QH-028

A Co, TF 2-227 AVN "Vulture Aviation" OEF 11-12 deployment patch — full-color variant. Vulture silhouette on a stars-and-stripes shield.

Unit History & Context: Alpha Company of Task Force 2-227 Aviation Regiment deployed as the "Vulture Aviation" element during Operation Enduring Freedom 2011-2012. The "Vulture" callsign — scavenger, patient, willing to wait for the right moment — captures the long-loiter aspect of Chinook heavy-lift missions in Afghanistan, where TF 2-227 moved troops, equipment, and supplies into landing zones across mountainous terrain.

Symbology: Vulture in flight against a red, white, and blue field of stars-and-stripes, framed by a black circular border with white stars. "STS" (Standard) and "OEF 11-12" date the specific rotation. The wing-edged outer border reads as the vulture's spread wings.

For Collectors: Deployment-dated patch, full-color dress variant. Subdued tan version also produced (separate SKU).
