Unit History & Context: Task Force Gambler was a multi-component aviation task force during Operation Enduring Freedom, built around the South Carolina Army National Guard's 1-151 Attack Reconnaissance Battalion (callsign "Gambler") with attached active-component and Guard aviation elements. The poker/casino iconography that runs through 1-151's permanent unit patches was extended across the entire task force for the deployment, with "Ace High" — the highest poker hand — as the unifying motto.
